Frequently Asked Questions

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together.

You don't need to prepare anything special or know exactly what to say. We'll take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

You don't have to be in crisis or have a specific diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes people come in with a clear concern, and other times they simply know that something in their life isn't working the way they'd like.

If you're curious about therapy but aren't sure where to begin, that's something we can explore together.

You can send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself and what you’d like to address in therapy.

You can also go to book now and schedule a free consultation.

I take a collaborative, compassionate approach that emphasizes understanding your experiences rather than judging or trying to eliminate them.

I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), self-compassion, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), depending on your needs and goals.

There's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and we'll work together to find what feels useful for you.

That depends on your needs, goals, and circumstances. Some people come to therapy to work through a particular concern, while others find value in having ongoing support.

We'll check in regularly about how things are going and whether our work is helping you achieve your goals.

Many people begin with weekly sessions, although the frequency can vary depending on your needs, availability, and goals.

We can discuss what makes sense for you during our first appointment and adjust as needed.

Absolutely! I strive to provide a space where LGBTQ+ individuals can explore their experiences, relationships, and identities without having to explain or defend who they are.

Whether you're navigating identity, relationships, family dynamics, religious experiences, or something entirely unrelated to your identity, you're welcome here.

I offer both in-person and virtual appointments. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss available appointment options.
